Pencil, blue chalk and gouache, 56 cm x 49.5 cm

In the catalogue of the 1976 Liverpool exhibition this work, which is not signed and seems untypical of Roberts's style, was titled Street Fighting during 1914–18 War and attributed to 'Vorticist School'. It is not known on what grounds it was attributed to Roberts in the 1978 Sotheby's sale.
